Assumption Parish 4-H Shooting Sports — developing young marksmen across our broader region through the LSU AgCenter.

Assumption Parish 4-H is part of the LSU AgCenter's youth development network, serving students across the parish with a wide range of project clubs. Its Shooting Sports program brings young athletes from our broader region into the shooting community alongside their Terrebonne and Lafourche neighbors.

A Growing Tradition

Shooting Sports in Assumption

The Assumption Parish 4-H Shooting Sports program provides young athletes with safe, structured opportunities to develop their skills across multiple shooting disciplines. Members learn from certified instructors while building lifelong values of focus, discipline, and sportsmanship.

  • Multiple Disciplines — Members participate in archery, shotgun, rifle, and related shooting events.
  • Certified Instruction — The program is led by volunteer coaches who are certified through the National 4-H Shooting Sports program.
  • Community Spirit — Assumption 4-H joins Terrebonne and Lafourche athletes at the Parish Livestock Show, regional competitions, and shared events.
